The shootings in Chicago were down compared to the norm this weekend.
That is the good news.
The bad news is that accuracy was up, with eight people losing their lives.
The majority of the murders occurred on Friday night.
Before the sun came up on Saturday, six people had already been killed throughout the city in a total of 15 shootings.
Over the next 48 hours, 20 more shootings would take place, with two more fatalities.
The descriptions of several of the shootings appear to have been clear targets, more than likely as part of the drug trade that runs rampant in that city right now.
Ironically, it was only last week when the Biden administration announced strides it had taken in getting guns off the street via its strike force.
As of August 28, 439 people have been murdered in Chicago in 2022.
