The bizarre trend of soldiers showing up dead on U.S. military bases is continuing into the New Year.
Sadly, Sgt. Jessica Mitchell was found dead in her car, shot multiple times, on New Year’s Day.
Sgt. Mitchell was a dental specialist assigned to the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence on Join Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.
Devastating Loss
Over the last year, the number of murdered soldiers has been both staggering and devastating.
As I have stated before, the loss of life on the battlefield is bad enough, but losing soldiers in these scenarios is just inexcusable.
Maj. Gen. Dennis LeMaster echoed that sentiment, stating, “We are devastated by the tragic loss of Drill Sergeant Jessica Mitchell.”
On New Year's Day around 2:30 a.m., first responders went to what they thought was a car crash on the North Side. Instead, a team of firefighters discovered a shooting victim.
