Trump Goes Ballistic on McConnell After Dim Outlook for GOP in Senate

Last week, Senator McConnell (R-KY) was basking in the glory of certain Trump-backed Senate candidates struggling in the polls.

He took fire from all directions for doing so.

That would include Trump, who absolutely unloaded on McConnell.

While speaking to the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, McConnell stated, “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate.”

That was all it took for Trump to go ballistic.

He immediately took to Truth Social, stating, “Why do Republicans Senators allow a broken down hack politician, Mitch McConnell, to openly disparage hard working Republican candidates for the United States Senate.

“This is such an affront to honor and to leadership. He should spend more time (and money!) helping them get elected, and less time helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China!”

I agree with Trump, but he can also point the finger at himself here.

First, let’s not forget that Chao served as Trump’s Transportation Secretary, so he is once again slamming a former member of his administration.

This is not a good look, basically admitting yet another mistake or lack of vetting for a key position.

Either way, it is just as much his failure as hers.

Secondly, Trump is not spending money he has amassed in his PACs.

Trump’s donations have largely gone to election integrity organizations backing his continued fight to investigate the 2020 election, but very little has gone out to his own candidates.

At least report, Trump has more than $250 million sitting in the bank, yet he is telling Mitch McConnell to spend more money.

Trump would be well-advised to get some skin in the game, especially for candidates like Oz, Walker, and Masters who are well behind in their races.

Biden promised to build an economy from “the bottom up and middle out.”

Instead, he “built” an economy where 1/3 of households are skipping meals or cutting portions to afford the rising cost of food.

A year ago today, Merrick Garland issued a memo directing the FBI to act on a letter that labeled parents “domestic terrorists.”

The only way we hold Biden accountable is electing Republican majorities in the House and Senate.
