Yet another senseless death of a teenager has been reported in a Democrat-run state.
A 14-year-old boy, Steven Butler III, had been reported missing by his father on Thursday.
Sadly, he was found beaten to death in a roadside ditch on Friday.
According to reports, Steven had left his home around 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
Several hours later, his father reported him missing.
Local police scanned the neighborhood for hours, unable to find Steven.
The next morning, a cyclist found his body lying in a ditch, apparently beaten to death by his assailant.
A 55-year-old neighbor, Daryl Vandyke, was immediately identified as a person of interest and taken into custody…
Vandyke is a reported acquaintance of Steven’s father.
He also happens to have a record that stretches back almost four decades, including one allegation of sexual abuse and at least a dozen drug charges.
Vandyke also had an outstanding warrant, which is what was used to take him into custody.
After he was arrested, a search warrant was issued and police reportedly found what they believe to be the crime scene.
First-degree murder charges have been filed and Vandyke is now being held on a $2 million bond.
