Glenn Beck Retracts ‘Apology’ Given to Barack Obama

In 2009, Glenn Beck accused then-President Barack Obama of being a “racist” during a segment of “Fox & Friends.”

Beck stated that Obama had a “deep-seated hatred” of white people.

He added, “The guy is, I believe, a racist.”

Beck later apologized, but now he is taking it all back.

The Apology

Before we get into the apology, remember that Beck was among those on the conservative side of the aisle that were furious Trump won the primary.

In that mindset, Beck went on the attack against Trump and started to defend Obama’s presidency.

In November 2016, Beck took his criticism of Obama back, stating, “Obama made me a better man.

“There are things unique to the African American experience that I cannot relate to. I had to listen to them.”

He later added, “I know I wouldn’t believe me if I heard myself apologizing, so I’m telling you now: Don’t take my word for it.

“Watch my actions. I don’t care what you think about me. All I care about is saying, Please, don’t make the mistake I made.”

Glenn also ripped Trump, completely selling the Democrat narrative to his followers at the time, stating, “It is not acceptable to ask a moral, dignified man to cast his vote to help elect an immoral man who is absent decency or dignity.

“If the consequence of standing against Trump and for principles is indeed the election of Hillary Clinton, so be it. At least it is a moral, ethical choice.”

Beck would later apologize for those comments, but it is tough for me to give him a redo, even though I knew he would regret making those statements.

I was writing for another publication at the time, but I predicted then people like Beck would ultimately backtrack on Trump.

I also stated it would be very tough for me to ever get behind people again like Beck and Mark Levin because they were all hypocrites, only supporting what they believed would get them more headlines rather than holding firm.

Halfway through Trump’s presidency, I was proven right, as everyone one of them suddenly became diehard Trump supporters, completely going against everything they had said during the election.

The Take-Back

We saw what they did not… that Trump was “needed” to expose the corruption in our political system.

As Trump did that, they all changed their tune realizing they had all been had, sold a false bill of goods by both sides of the aisle.

Beck has done a complete 180 and has now realized this 2009 comments about Obama were dead on.

While talking to Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night, Beck stated, “I take my apology back.

“I was exactly right, and I even stated it right. You are a racist if you believe in critical race theory.

“If you think that what Dr. Martin Luther King said, that he envisions a country that is seeing people for the content of their character and not their color, if you if think that’s wrong, then yes, you are a racist.”

Beck was referring to Obama’s recent statements about the right-wing fearmongering regarding CRT being taught in our schools.

He stated, “There are certain right-wing media venues, for example, that monetize and capitalize on stoking the fear and resentment of a white population that is witnessing a changing America and seeing demographic changes.

“And do everything they can to give people a sense that their way of life is threatened and that people are trying to take advantage of them.”

Welcome back to reality, Mr. Beck, and it is good to see you have finally fully come out of the haze you fell into when Trump won the 2016 primary.

  1. How Glenn Beck could have ever thought of Hillary as a better moral choice than Donald Trump is beyond me, Bill and Hillary have been gauging the tax payers of both Arkansas and this country as long as they have been in politics and no one wants to call them on it. Crooks with a capital C

  4. Yes, sometimes the proof in the pudding, is time itself! Time to really see what is happening and to see how the pudding turns out. We, hardworking, taxing paying true citizens and defenders of our nation, are certainly seeing how the pudding is turning out. It is getting worse and worse each day! It seems as each day goes by, more and more bad pudding is turning up. Many thought the old pudding was terrible, but as time went on, our pudding was improving from a former proprietor. Customers were becoming happier again! Then we had a what appeared to be a very grouchy, but generally good cook, who made his bad batches of unsavory pudding in the past. But he has changed most of his past ways, even for the better, because he care for his customers, at least most of them. He certainly had a different way of approaching things. The competition became angry at him as he went forward doing the best job he could, to ensure the best for his customers, who seemed to be growing and growing. Was he a better cook? Not always, but his experiences, including his past failures, and then successes made him a very good and even a sly good cook, with common sense as he was much smarter and had a growing appreciation for all his hard working customers. He even lowered his prices! Privately he was generous to many. Publicly he appeared tough and out of touch and had many critics. But he pretty much stayed ahead of them. As time went on, more and more people supported his business, and saw under his rough demanding exterior he was indeed a great, wise pudding cook. Well one day, his business was taken over to the dismay and shock of many. The new proprietors changed the way they did business and rapidly was running the place into the ground. The business turned into a pudding disaster! Many of the customers saw how good the prior owner was, who took care of his customers and the business. They knew he needed a break, but wished for him back. Later things came to light, that showed there was something ‘fishy’ with the new business operators and how they removed the competition from their favorite pudding questionable means. Indeed, many could see the fruits of the new owners labors. It was like nothing they had seen, just heard about. They began making more and more discoveries of their practices, and found that business was designed to serve only a special few while taking money from those honest, hardworking pudding customers. So, what did those customers do? Time will soon tell! Stand by for the next episode of, ‘The Pudding Files, What Poison Lurks in the Bottom of the Vat?’

  5. Beck seems to have seen the light. Obama is a racist and a hater of this country.
What has made Beck a better man is admitting he was wrong about Obama and
that Mr. O is and was destructive for this country and should never be allowed to
hold public office here ever again. He did nothing for this country for eight long
    years except get rich.

  6. Watching Glen Beck “Flip-Flop” like a fish out of water he just lost any credibility he had!
