Joe Biden is having a rather rough start to the week regarding foreign relations.
Over the last few days, Iran has made the administration look foolish regarding an alleged hostage exchange and the nuclear agreement talks.
Now he is pointing at China for a massive computer hack that happened earlier this year, but he seems hesitant to do anything about it.
Say what you want about Trump, but countries like China and Iran did not cross the line or even think about approaching it when he was in office.
Even though Trump was an anti-war president, he made no bones about the fact he would use every weapon in our arsenal if a country crossed us.
Biden is the polar opposite, letting countries walk all over the United States and still begging for forgiveness.
One need only look at the debacle that has become the Iran talks to see that.
Now, on Monday, US officials have pointed to China for being responsible for the Microsoft Exchange Server hack that crippled tens of thousands of organizations this year.
A senior administration official stated, “The PRC’s pattern of irresponsible behavior in cyberspace is inconsistent with its stated objective of being seen as a responsible leader in the world.
“Countries around the world are making it clear that concerns regarding the PRC’s malicious cyber activity is bringing them together to call out this activity, promote network defense and cybersecurity, and act to disrupt threats to our economies and national security.”
That is the equivalent of sending a child to time-out because nothing that will truly impact China is going to happen.
At the very least, Trump would have slammed China with economic sanctions that would have crippled their economy.
So, here is the question everyone should be asking right now… why isn’t Joe tougher on China?
