Several days ago, Joe Biden made the ludicrous claim that Facebook was “killing people.”
Just about everyone in the country seemed to push back on this claim, even those of us that despise the powers that be at Facebook, simply because the charge was so ludicrous.
Now, after several days of his press secretary trying to justify the comments, Biden has finally backed off and is now trying to single out the accounts that were flagged.
Joe Caves to FB Pressure
Facebook was not happy with Biden when he made his comments.
Surely Mark and company were upset, especially considering how many millions of dollars he pumped into the Biden campaign in one form or another to get him elected.
Facebook accused the White House of looking for a scapegoat for not making his July vaccine goal after Biden made the accusation.
A spokesperson for Facebook further stated, “The fact is that more than 2 billion people have viewed authoritative information about COVID-19 and vaccines on Facebook, which is more than any other place on the internet. More than 3.3 million Americans have also used our vaccine finder tool to find out where and how to get a vaccine.”
Biden was quick to try to make nice, stating, “Facebook isn’t killing people.
“These 12 people are out there giving misinformation.
“Anyone listening to it is getting hurt by it. It’s killing people. It’s bad information.
“My hope is that Facebook, instead of taking it personally, that somehow I’m saying Facebook is killing people, that they would do something about the misinformation, the outrageous misinformation about the vaccine. That’s what I meant.”
So, it’s another “what I meant” excuse by Biden… how many more times does he get to play that card?
