Remember how quick Joe Biden was to make a call to judgment on police officers when there was an officer-involved shooting when Donald Trump was president?
Well, Joe just had the first major controversial shoot on his watch and suddenly, Joe is changing tactics.
Now, instead of jumping to a conclusion and starting divide, Joe wants everyone to wait to see what the investigation shows in regard to the shooting.
Oh, the Hypocrisy!
Watching Biden react to this shooting was despicable.
When Trump was in office, Biden and Harris could not wait to condemn the police, which generally resulted in immediate rioting and looting over the incident.
Then, after stirring the pot, Biden would sit on his hands when the rioting and looting that his own party encouraged took place.
Now that he is in office, everything changed.
When reporters asked Biden to comment on the shooting, he refused to jump on the police and demanded everyone wait for the investigation to be concluded first.
Biden stated, “Whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa. whoa…, hang on just a second. … wait a second.”
Biden later stated, “But I think we’ve got to wait and see what the investigation shows, the entire investigation. You all watched, I assume, as I did, the film — the body cam — which is fairly graphic.”
He continued, “The question is, was it an accident, was it intentional? That remains to be determined by a full-blown investigation. But in the meantime, I want to make it clear again, there is absolutely no justification for violence. Peaceful protests? Understandable.”
Biden did speak on the rioting, stating, “[I] want to make it clear again: there is absolutely no justification — none — for looting. No justification for violence.”
After stating that he had not yet talked to the parents of Daunte Wright, the 20-year-old that was shot by Brooklyn Center police in Minnesota, he did make another statement that got my ears up.
After hearing Democrats say “enough” with thoughts and prayers, Biden, stated, “I haven’t called Daunte Wright’s family, but our prayers are with their family.”
Now, this is a mere 24 hours after the incident for Biden to make such a statement, yet he constantly waited days, if not weeks, to say anything when Trump was in office.
I do not know if it would have made a difference during the George Floyd riots and the riots that ensued afterward, but the optics sure would have been far better, especially considering the stance that Joe Biden is taking now.
This shooting looks like it is going to take on a life of its own, so Joe may have his first set of national riots to deal with… let’s see how he handles that.
