One of the ways that Donald Trump was able to control the surge at our border when he was in office was by enlisting the help of the Northern Triangle military and law enforcement.
When this was done, Democrats launched criticism after criticism at Trump.
Well, as luck would have it, Joe Biden is now using a similar tactic, and now everyone is sitting on their hands.
Be Like Trump
There has been a significant call on the right for Biden to go back to Trump border policies to get this problem under control.
On Monday, it was announced that is pretty much what Biden has done in terms of getting help from other countries.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki explained, “So, Mexico made the decision to maintain 10,000 troops at its southern border, resulting in twice as many daily migrant introductions.
“Guatemala surged 1,500 police and military personnel to its southern border with Honduras, and have agreed to set up 12 checkpoints along the migratory route.
“Honduras surged to 7,000 police and military to disperse a large contingent of migrants.”
She continued, “As with any diplomatic discussion, these discussions happen at several levels, and certainly, as you know, we have an envoy who has discussions with the region.”
When Psaki was asked specifically about when the deal was reached, she refused to go into detail, more than likely because she knows it is a lose-lose deal for the administration.
Either they are reactivating the Trump “Remain in Mexico” policy that was first put in place in 2019 or the Biden administration has negotiated its own deal that is identical to that policy.
No matter how you slice it, if the media is being consistent, both the media and Democrats will have to call this a racist policy, because that is exactly what they did when Trump put this policy in place.
