Jimmy Kimmel took a sketch a bit too far.
After losing the Emmy for his late-night show again, Kimmel was dragged out on stage.
When the Emmy for writing for a comedy series went to Quinta Brunson, Kimmel remained on the stage.
He was immediately accused of white privilege for trying to upstage Brunson.
All About Jimmy
Here is the scene as it played out during the Emmy’s…
Now, the sketch was not funny to start with, but there was no need for Kimmel to remain on the floor while she gave her speech.
It did not help matters that Brunson is a black woman that was up against mostly white writers.
The cancel crowd went after him with both barrels blazing.
Here are just a few of the tweets…
So Jimmy Kimmel is really gonna upstage her speech by laying on the floor in front of her? Like what the fuck

Jimmy Kimmel should have left the stage during Quinta’s speech. Highly disrespectful #Emmys

Jimmy Kimmel owes Quinta an apology but the messed up part is every image of her accepting her award has his ass in it.
White men really are insufferable.

Notice those last two, with the utter hatred towards white men… but this is one of their own liberal leaders doing this to them.
Rest assured, Jimmy Kimmel does NOT represent all white men.
The right also got into it, celebrating that Kimmel is now being targeted by his fellow liberals…
Me watching black twitter give Jimmy Kimmel the dragging he deserves. I love it. pic.twitter.com/ZRQzSe0I1R

Brunson tried to downplay it, stating, “I know Jimmy Kimmel. The bit didn’t bother me.
“Honestly, Jimmy gave me my first big late-night spot. He was one of the first people to see ‘Abbott Elementary.’ He was the first person to message me on Instagram.
“He was so excited it was going to be on ABC. I was happy it was Jimmy. He’s one of the comedy godfathers.”
We all know what happens here, right?
Kimmel invites Brunson on his show and offers up a tearful apology and all is forgiven.
It should not be, though, because that is Jimmy Kimmel.
He sexualized women, made fun of black people, and is the pure definition of a narcissist, but the left continues to treat him as a hero because he calls out the bad orange man every chance he gets.
