Country Legend Charlie Daniels Dead at 83

Without question, one of the all-time greats in country music is Charlie Daniels.

His crossover hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” was a rallying song for just about anyone that grew up in the 1970s and 80s.

Sadly, Charlie passed away on Monday, but not before he sent everyone off with some heartfelt messages.

Charlie’s Last Words

Charlie has always been active on Twitter as well as being a noted conservative, often setting liberals off with his tweets throughout the day.

He was no different on the days leading up to his death.

From Charlie’s Saturday tweets, it seemed as though nothing at all was wrong nor did he even hint that he was having any health problems.

The Day the Music Died

And that was it for Charlie… on Monday morning, news quickly traveled that Charlie was no longer with us.

Now we celebrate a career that started in 1964 and that continued right up until his last breath.

Rest in peace, Charlie, for you will be missed and for far more than just your music.
