This week, Kamala Harris went on a little tour to help promote Joe Biden’s “American Rescue Plan.”
Two of her stops were West Virginia and Arizona, where she appeared on local media to make her pitch.
Unfortunately, Harris did not reach out to her fellow Democrat in West Virginia, and that is not sitting well with Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.), who openly called her out for the snub.
No Call, Kamala?
Harris apparently did not get the memo regarding courtesy calls when performing duties as a VP.
Either that, or she was trying to send a hard message to Joe Manchin that he either gets in line or falls behind.
I tend to think it is the latter, as does Manchin.
After preaching nothing but unity during their first week in office, the Biden administration has signed almost four dozen executive actions and/or orders.
Manchin has stated many times he will not issue a rubber-stamp approval, and that must have irked Harris because she failed to let the Senator know she would be doing some live media in his home state.
After the snub, Manchin stated, “We’re going to try to find a bipartisan pathway forward, but we need to work together.
“That’s not a way of working together.”
Sounds like Biden and Harris better fix the cracks in their own party unity before they go on TV talking about unifying Congress and our country again.
