We all knew the problem at the border would be bad when Joe Biden and his moving trucks showed up at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Most, including myself, took solace in the idea that no matter how bad the rush was, the blistering summer heat would bring a respite.
However, that never happened, and now the Biden administration continues to scramble to deflect blame.
The most recent deflection coming from DHS Secretary Mayorkas, blaming Trump for all the chaos.
That No Longer Flies
After Trump had that massive surge at the border, measures were put in place to stop it from happening again, at least on his watch.
On his very first day, Joe Biden tore up the game plan and opened the flood gates.
Mayorkas, however, is blaming the dismantling of the immigration system on Trump!
While discussing the surge, he stated, “We’re following an administration that frankly dismantled our capabilities to address it, and so we are building it from the ground up.
“We lost four years of investing in the countries from which these individuals are migrating.
“Our safe and orderly systems were torn down, so we’re rebuilding them. And our plan is in place, and we’re executing it.”
First, allowing open borders is not controlling migration.
Second, the “journalist” never asked Mayorkas to clarify how Trump’s plan, a plan which was very successful at controlling immigration, was responsible for today’s problems.
Biden was the one that signed a bunch of executive orders and threw Trump’s plan into the shredder, so how does this problem fall on Trump and not Biden?
Thirdly, Joe Biden has now been in office for six full months, so the idea that he still thinks he can blame Trump is utterly ridiculous.
For some reason, the media continues to let these claims go unchecked, but the American people have clearly had enough of it.
One of Joe Biden’s lowest approval ratings is for the border, so voters finally realize this is Joe’s problem, not Trump’s.
