In this political environment, any Republican that tests positive is big news.
However, a Trump family member testing positive is a stop-the-presses moment.
On Friday night, it was announced that Donald Trump Jr. had tested positive, and the media is feasting like sharks when blood is in the water.
Jr. apparently found out earlier in the week that he had tested positive.
Since his positive test, he has self-quarantined at his cabin in upstate New York.
After several days, however, Jr. is reportedly NOT showing any symptoms but will remain quarantined per the CDC guidelines…
A spokesman for @DonaldJTrumpJr tells Fox: ”Don tested positive at the start of the week and has been quarantining out at his cabin since the result. He’s been completely asymptomatic so far and is following all medically recommended COVID-19 guidelines.”

Additionally, the son of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani also announced that he had contracted the virus…
This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. I am experiencing mild symptoms, and am following all appropriate protocols, including being in quarantine and conducting contact tracing.

The Media Feasts
After the announcement was made public, liberal pundits had a field day, once again using this as an attack against the President that he cannot even keep his own family safe from the virus.
Liberals need to come to grips with the fact this virus is out there and people are going to get it.
They are also, by-and-large, going to recover from it unless they are in the most at-risk groups.
Even though we are seeing the expected winter surge, the mortality rate from the virus continues to drop.
From an early rate that was around seven percent, the real-time mortality rate is just over two percent and the death rate for closed cases is down to three percent.
These are the rates that are the most important but all the media wants to focus on right now is the positivity rate, which of course will be sky high considering we are in flu season and doing more active testing than any other country in the world right now.
