One of the big selling points for Joe Biden’s infrastructure legislation is the jobs it alleges it will help create.
According to Biden, roughly 19 million jobs will be created over the next ten years.
After analyzing the report, however, Moody Analytics chief economist, Mark Zandi, says Biden overshot the estimate by about 600 percent.
Another Lie, Joe
According to Zandi, the new legislation will create only 2.7 million jobs, a far cry from the number that Joe Biden is touting.
It appears as though Joe Bided simply added the regular job’s creation projection to the jobs that would be added by the new plan.
Zandi deduced that even without the infrastructure legislation, the economy would produce an additional 16.3 million jobs by 2030.
He stated, “With the AJP, the economy will create 18.96 million jobs between the fourth quarter of 2020 and the fourth quarter of 2030.
“Without the AJP, the economy will create 16.3 million jobs [in that period]. If the ARP had not been passed and without the AJP, the economy would have created 15.65 million jobs.”
While the White House has not yet responded to the correction, Transportation Secretary Buttigieg has already adjusted his talking points.
He recently stated, “I should be precise about this, Moody’s modeled a future, a scenario, where the American Jobs Plan is passed. And in that scenario, they see the American economy creating 19 million jobs.
“And that’s 2.7 (million) more than if this bill doesn’t pass. So the point is, this will contribute to a scenario where we create that many jobs, and millions of them are specifically attributable just to this plan.”
The point is, Pete, that once again, Joe Biden twisted the facts to suit his own narrative.
