There are two major narratives some Democrats are pitching right now, but Fauci just crushed them both.
First, some Dems are pushing the narrative that the COVID-19 vaccine was rushed and should not be trusted (N.Y. Governor Cuomo is among those saying this).
Second, it is that schools need to be closed.
Fauci Says NO WAY
On both of those accounts, Democrats are getting it all wrong according to one of the voices they are all telling us to trust.
First, the quality of the vaccine has been brought into question because of how quickly it is coming to market.
Governor Cuomo had been a leading voice promoting doubt, something Fauci seems to think is ridiculous.
On the possible vaccine, Fauci stated, “It was a reflection of the extraordinary scientific advances in these types of vaccines which allowed us to do things in months that actually took years before.
“I really want to settle that concern that people have about that.”
He added, “So we need to put to rest any concept that this was rushed in an inappropriate way.
“This is really solid.”
Fauci also went after the idea of closing schools, which is now being proposed by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Ironically, it was on CNN with Chris Cuomo that Fauci made the statement about schools.
Fauci, on school closings, stated, “I think one of the things we need to do is, to the best of our capability, try to keep the kids in school. The numbers you said are true.
“If you look at the rate of infectivity — I mean, obviously, you want to be sensitive to the safety and the health of the children…the teachers. You want to do that. … Having said that, my feeling is the default position, keep the schools open if you possibly can.”
It should be noted, Fauci has also spoken out about not doing a complete lockdown again, even though he was one of those that pushed Trump to lock down the country in the spring.
Funny how Fauci is now going directly against the recommendations he made to Trump now that the media has awarded the presidency to Joe Biden.
I just can’t help but wonder what Fauci’s recommendations would have been if Trump had been named the winner.
