While Secretary Mayorkas and Joe Biden like to pretend the border situation is under control, FBI Director Christopher Wray just told Congress a completely different story.
Wray has called the border situation a security concern.
This comes on the tail end of a report regarding Afghan refugees who are terror threats but have been released to our country’s interior.
The revelation came about while being questioned by Senator Cornyn (R-TX).
When asked about the border situation, Wray replied, “I certainly know that it is an eclectic mix of nationalities and the volume is just staggering.”
Cornyn responded, “And that’s a public security threat, you agree with me?”
Wray then came clean, stating, “To me it represents a significant security issue and represents a wide array of criminal threats that flow out of it.”
So far this fiscal year, there have been 1.6 million encounters, only 100,000 shy of last year.
As we predicted, the number this year is likely to exceed 2.5 million, possibly approaching three million.
Senator Graham (R-S.C.) asked, “Do we have operational control of the southern border regarding counterterrorism threats that would lead you to conclude the border is secure?”
Wray replied, “Well, let me answer that this way.
“While on the one hand, we don’t have — so I don’t want to mislead people — any imminent credible threat from a foreign terrorist organization on the border at the moment, any port of entry, any potential vulnerability is something we know foreign terrorist organizations and others will seek to exploit.”
Graham continued asking him how hard it would be to sneak terrorists into the country.
Wray responded, “I don’t want to give them a road map, but it’s certainly something we’re concerned about.”
Well, that should make us all feel better.
