A bit of a shocker came out of the FBI today.
Special Agent Richard Trask has been terminated.
Trask was the lead agent in the investigation that thwarted the kidnapping plot of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
According to local reports, Trask was terminated after domestic abuse allegations were levied upon him.
However, that is far from the only controversy tied to Trask.
He had been removed from the Whitmer case due to social media comments he made disparaging Donald Trump.
There were also reports that the plot against Whitmer had more or less been facilitated by informants for the FBI.
If those reports were accurate, as many as a dozen informants were integral in encouraging and planning the plot.
Trask is scheduled to go to trial for the allegations made against him regarding domestic abuse.
