Once again, a liberal has invoked the name of Barron Trump in taking a cheap shot at President Trump and it is not sitting very well with the first lady.
Food Network host John Henson, on Sunday, sent out a tweet saying, “I hope Barron gets to spend today with whoever his dad is.”
The tweet eventually garnered the attention of the First Lady, whose spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, ripped Henson, calling his comments both “inappropriate and insensitive.”
Not only did the joke happen at the expense of a teenager, but it also happened to be rather insulting to the First Lady.
The children of elected officials are supposed to be off-limits, but that rule seems to have been broken during this administration.
As mentioned above, the tweet did not go over very well at the White House.
Grisham, on behalf of Melania Trump, stated, “Sadly we continue to see inappropriate and insensitive comments about the President’s son [Barron Trump].
“As with every other Administration, a minor child should be off-limits and allowed to grow up with no judgment or hate from strangers and the media.”
Ironically, Henson, a member of the woke left that seems to overreact to every little thing these days, stated that Melania was overreacting to his “joke.”
With respect, I think you dissecting it is the issue. The joke was aimed at Trump and the mere mention of Barron’s name doesn’t mean it’s at his expense.
Although I respect your right to take issue with it.

So, if the “joke” was not offensive in his eyes, then why did he delete the tweet?
The White House was not the only outlet upset with the comments made by Henson.
New York Post columnist Miranda Devine also had a few choice words for Henson.
She stated, “You may hate President Trump, but don’t attack his child, his teenage son.
“It’s utterly despicable that a Food Network host would use Father’s Day to target a child, a 14-year-old boy who has done nothing wrong.
“He has no choice about who his family is.
“He’s a Food Network host and no one is going to put him in jail for making a really nasty joke, but he should be ashamed of himself for targeting a child.”
Now, had comments like that been made by a conservative about one of the Obama children, it is a fairly safe assumption that individual would have lost his or her job or at the very least been suspended.
Don’t expect anything to happen anytime soon to Henson, though, because as we have learned over the last three-plus years, there simply are no repercussions for anything anyone on the left does these days.
