Fox News’ Janice Dean Blames Cuomo for Deaths in Her Family

In the early stages of the pandemic, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) was allowing hospitals to return patients to nursing homes while they had still tested positive.

That was not so much the problem as he was not specifically citing these patients needed to be segregated from everyone else until they tested negative.

According to Fox News’ Janice Dean, that policy helped lead to the death of her husband’s parents.

Putting People in Danger

The CDC, very early on, put out guidelines for nursing homes and like institutions.

It became very clear very early on that elderly and those with underlying conditions were the most susceptible to the virus.

As such, any patient or resident that tested positive in these institutions was to be either hospitalized or segregated from the rest of the residents/patients.

Cuomo allowed individuals that had been treated at hospitals to be returned to these homes even if they were still positive, without mandating they be segregated.

About a quarter of all those that died in New York were in nursing homes, so many believe the early policy put in place by Cuomo was responsible for many of these deaths, including Dean.

You Killed Them

She stated, “at first, we didn’t blame anyone for my in-laws’ death.

“This is a pandemic, after all.

“Then we learned about a policy that put them in danger.”

That policy, of course, was the policy discussed above that was put in place by Cuomo and remained in place for several months until he changed it.

When Cuomo revealed his cute little poster to proclaim victory, it set Dean off.

She wrote, “Last week, the governor held a press conference to reveal his poster.

“It’s a picture of a mountain that represents the deadly ‘curve’ found on a graph depicting more than 32,000 deaths in New York state.

“There are plenty of inside jokes on his mountain of death including a cartoon drawing of presumably his daughter’s boyfriend hanging off a cliff, the governor’s fancy sports car that he likes to pose with on Instagram and a giant nose with a cotton swab inside of it.”

Her op-ed concluded, “My in-laws Mickey and Dee Newman were New York tough. The governor? He’s as weak as they come.”

Amazingly, even Dr. Fauci is holding up Cuomo as an example of how to properly contain and reduce exposure during the pandemic.

Liberals these days seem to live in some sick fantasy world where they justify everything simply by pointing a finger at Trump and saying, “Bad orange man.”

I honestly have no idea how many deaths occurred as a direct result of Cuomo’s policy but it is a pretty safe assumption that more deaths occurred than need be because he mismanaged the situation in New York.

Unfortunately, he will never be held accountable because the media dare not go after a Democrat until after the 2020 election.
