GOP House Member Who Voted for Impeachment Will NOT Run for Re-election

The GOP is having a bit of a purge of its own in the House.

While not nearly as bad as the one Dems are going through, Republicans are definitely shedding some dead weight.

The latest being Rep. John Katko (R-N.Y.), one of the House GOP members that voted for impeachment, has decided to step down.

Another One Bites the Dust

Katko has served four terms, so he was deeply rooted in the battleground district.

The downside to him retiring is that it will be more difficult for Republicans to hold the seat.

The upside is that Katko was worthless anyway, and might as well have held the seat for Democrats.

In announcing that he would no longer be serving, Katko used the old family excuse as his reason.

He stated that he was stepping down “so that I can enjoy my family and life in a fuller and more present way.”

Trump was predictably happy about the news.

Trump stated, “Great news, another one bites the dust.

“Katko, from Upstate New York, is gone!”

By my count, this is now the third House member that had voted to impeach Trump that has decided to look elsewhere for employment in 2023.

The stage is now set for a massive makeover in Congress when 2023 gets rolling.

We now have more than three dozen House members that have walked away collectively, which will interject a lot of new blood into Congress.

When you also look at the expected turnover in seats, we could have 60 to 70 new members of Congress in the next term.

What do you think of the massive turnover in Congress?

  1. It’s about time we cleaned house and got rid of those working the opposite side of the fence or doing nothing to further their parties agenda. Let’s hope we get better this time around. Don’t just pick a name and vote. Research the candidates and vote intelligently not because you don’t like his or her looks or manner of speech.

    1. Couldn’t agree with you more people it’s with their hearts and not their BRAINS!!!! And THATS exactly why we are in this mess we are in! I sure didn’t vote for MAGOO!!

  2. It’s all good as long as they ar Republicans that will work towards the Republican’s unity and progress.

  3. Sweep out the dirt and bring in clean refreshing air so we can bring back our government of the people and for the people. We need to clean out those in the top shelves who are caked in filthy mud.

  4. We all must elect God fearing and honest people who will work for everyone no matter where you come from or what you look like! God bless America. Amen.

    1. Agree 100% Chuck, I believe they are ALL criminals for trying to prop up a Bankrupt, Invalid and Illegal US Corporation that was Illegally created in 1871! For those who don’t know, just do a web search for the Act of 1871, probably better off using Duck Duck Go or FrontPage to search.

  5. If we could just get rid of New York and California the country would be better off. At least the political leaders of those states. I am sure there are some good people in those states, but they are moving out fast.

    1. They were ready and nearly destroy the Republic. Now they are running like rats.
Many changes are needed to reduce the swamp creatures and select good people to run government.
      May God save America.
