I have always been adamant that the history of this country is not something we should ever be ashamed of or hide.
You have to take everything into the context of what was happening at the time and relate it as such.
That is not the case with Kamala Harris, who seems to insist on relating our founding days to modern-day times, which is just utterly ridiculous.
Embrace and Learn, Never Forget
It is hard to imagine where the entire world would be right now be if not for the founding of this country.
From the outset, the United States worked to end slavery, and we fought for equal rights for both minorities and women when nobody else was even considering such moves.
No, the United States is not perfect, but it has always moved forward.
Harris likes to try to push the narrative that slavery was just ended, or something to that effect.
She literally wants to shame the nation rather than celebrate it. Yet, here she is, a woman of color in the second-highest office the country has.
Joe Biden and his woke administration celebrated Indigenous Peoples’ Day rather than Columbus Day this year.
While doing so, Harris stated, “Since 1934, every October the United States has recognized the voyage of the European explorers who first landed on the shores of the Americas.
“But that is not the whole story. That has never been the whole story.
“Those explorers ushered in a wave of devastation for tribal nations — perpetrating violence, stealing land, and spreading disease.
“We must not shy away from this shameful past, and we must shed light on it and do everything we can to address the impact of the past on native communities today.”
This is the Barack Obama administration all over again, when Michelle Obama regularly railed about the racist history of this country, again, with the irony that her husband, a man of color, was the president of the United States.
It is truly sickening that they chose this divisive path to create more racial discord in this country while shading it as a way to create more unity.
