If we know one thing about Hillary Clinton, it is that anything that Donald Trump supports, she is against.
That being the case, Joe Biden’s recent announcement of removing our troops from Afghanistan is not sitting well with Hillary Clinton.
Reports are now breaking that Hillary is expressing big concerns behind the scenes regarding the withdrawal.
The War Hawk
It is no secret that Hillary loves war.
As a United States Senator, Hillary backed the Iraq War.
While serving in the Obama administration, Hillary also supported adding troops to Afghanistan.
Now her concerns are reportedly centered around protecting diplomats on the ground in Afghanistan if Biden does withdrawal all our troops from the area.
Rice Also Breaks from Biden
In addition to Clinton, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has echoed the same concerns as Hillary Clinton.
Rice, as you may recall, was Secretary of State during the Bush administration when this conflict first started.
Her concerns echo the recent concerns of President Bush, who, after hearing the news, stated, “My first reaction was, ‘Wow, these girls are going to have real trouble with the Taliban.’
“A lot of gains have been made, and so I’m deeply concerned about the plight of women and girls in that country.”
He later added, “I think the administration hopes that the girls are going be OK through diplomacy. We’ll find out.
“All I know is the Taliban, when they had the run of the place, they were brutal.”
That is a lot of pushback by Biden allies on both sides of the aisle, so it will be interesting to see if Joe holds true to his word or if he starts to break to pressure that will surely be applied solely on the basis that Trump has applauded the move.
