Eastlake High School in Sammamish, WA, wanted to do something special to honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
The idea was to have a “red, white, and blue” tribute at the high school’s football game.
All the players would wear the color of the flag to honor the anniversary.
At the last moment, the theme of the game was canceled.
Why? Well, apparently the colors red, white, and blue could “unintentionally cause offense to some who see it differently.”
One of the students told a local radio show that “red, white and blue was going to be seen as racially insensitive and may affect people in a way that we will not understand and for that reason that we were to change our theme.”
NEW: Students were set to wear red, white & blue colors at their football game to honor the lives lost on 9/11.
But school staff pulled the plug.

Well, what if the color green or black or pink offends someone? Are these people serious?
If the red, white, and blue colors trigger you, do us all a favor and find another country to live in.
