Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) just put on his moderate suit.
Joe Biden just threatened the livelihoods of many of his constituents.
I expected Manchin to step up here, but I never expected him to get this confrontational.
Learn a Lesson
Manchin was livid at the comments made by Biden about shutting down coal plants around the country.

This would obviously have a huge impact on West Virginia.
Manchin stated, “President Biden’s comments are not only outrageous and divorced from reality, but they also ignore the severe economic pain the American people are feeling because of rising energy costs.”
He continued, “Let me be clear, this is something the President has never said to me.
“Being cavalier about the loss of coal jobs for men and women in West Virginia and across the country who literally put their lives on the line to help build and power this country is offensive and disgusting.
“The President owes these incredible workers an immediate and public apology and it is time he learn a lesson that his words matter and have consequences.”
The White House immediately caved and did apologize, of course blaming the media for twisting Biden’s words.
Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Biden’s words “have been twisted to suggest a meaning that was not intended; he regrets it if anyone hearing these remarks took offense.”
It is rather comical that she expects anyone to believe his words were twisted.
Biden clearly stated, “We’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar power.”
That is a direct quote, so please tell me what was twisted in the reporting.
