It looks like Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has decided to throw in the hate in at least one key state.
The Senate Leadership Fund (SLR) has canceled $10 million in ad buys in two different states.
Alaska is almost understandable, but taking the money out of Arizona is going to have people scratching their heads.
In Alaska, it is an open Senate race, but the two leading candidates are both Republicans.
So, you can almost understand why they would pull out of that race.
Arizona, however, is another story altogether.
Blake Masters, who is supported by Donald Trump, is only down four points in the latest Trafalgar poll, which was taken August 24-27.
Masters has made impressive gains from July, where he trailed 49-34.
The only reasoning here being that McConnell does want to support a Trump candidate and have his name attached to someone like Masters.
As I have stated before, as Senate leader, McConnell’s job is to support the candidate once the people of that state have elected the candidate.
I would be willing to bet just about anything that McConnell will be the target of Trump’s venom once the former president finds out about this.
