During moments of national crisis, our nation has always looked to our First Lady as a source of calm.
Melania Trump, in the wake of the Capitol riot, has continued that tradition.
Our First Lady, on Monday, blasted the bad actors and pleaded with the rest of the country to find a way toward unity.
Is it possible for this country to unite right now?
We were very divided at the end of Obama’s presidency and more so now.
Much of this has to do with the rhetoric coming out of D.C., though, as “leaders” continue to pour gasoline on the fire.
Pelosi, Schumer, and Biden have unleashed an all-out assault on Trump and his supporters, failing to separate the bad actors from the innocent, a move that will only create more divide and anger.
Melania Trump is hoping that will soon cease.
In her plea for unity, the First Lady stated, “I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week.
“Our Nation must heal in a civil manner. Make no mistake about it, I absolutely condemn the violence that has occurred on our Nation’s Capitol.
“Violence is never acceptable.”
She added, “I pray for their families comfort and strength during this difficult time.”
How Do We Move Forward?
The events of the past week have many asking just how this country will ever unite.
Democrats could have extended an olive branch, but they just continue to attack.
Now, conservatives as a whole are worried about being permanently censored.
What was once conspiracy theory has become reality after Google and Apple banned the Parler app and Amazon Web Services booted the platform from its services.
The fact that Donald Trump has been permanently banned from Twitter is being celebrated by the left but it should be ringing alarm bells on both sides of the aisle in terms of what Big Brother is capable of doing to We the People right now.
As long as the left keeps strong-arming the right, I just don’t see “unity” in this country.
Maybe this will all die down if Democrats are able to get their pint of blood from Trump, but it may only make Democrats more bloodthirsty and more power-hungry… that is my fear.
