The violence in Chicago seems as though it will never end.

While it is only Sunday morning, there have already been 37 people shot this weekend, with one fatality.

Democrats continue to rail against Trump for wanting to send in federal officers to quell the violence, but this weekend and every weekend simply proves that living in a Democrat-run city is literally putting your life at risk.

Another Deadly Weekend

If people think this violence is being limited to “bad” neighborhoods, think again.

The latest shooting took place outside a “W” Hotel.

When police arrived, they found an unresponsive male with multiple gunshots lying on the ground.

The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital by first responders.

The W Hotel falls under the Marriott umbrella, which released a statement on the incident:

“We are aware of a situation that was reported today.

“The safety and security of our guests and employees is always a top priority.

“Because this matter is under police investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”

A 50-year-old ride-share driver was also among the wounded, having been shot on Sunday on the Southwest Side in Little Village.

In most of the cases that occurred so far this weekend, there are no suspects in custody.

Get Help

This is not a knock against the Chicago PD, but they are simply incapable of handling the violence in the city right now.

They are undermanned and underfunded, which is leading to more gaps in coverage and more violence.

Trump, since taking office, has practically begged Chicago officials to let the federal government help, but his offers have mostly been slapped away by local officials.

While Mayor Lightfoot recently begrudgingly accepted federal help with conditions, she also was immediately attacked by the left for doing so, with reported protests happening outside of her home.
