The moment the word hydroxychloroquine came out of President Trump’s mouth, Democrats and liberals went out of their way to discredit the medication.
Skewed reports came out very early in the pandemic saying the drug was not only useless against the virus but that the drug was also dangerous to take, but a new study says something quite different.
According to a Fox News report from researchers at the Henry Ford Health System in Southeast Michigan, Trump had it right all along.
New Facts Prove Trump Was Right
The new study compared how patients did when they received either hydroxychloroquine or hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin as treatment compared to those that did not receive treatment.
The report stated there was a “66% hazard ratio reduction” and a 71 percent reduction respectively when using those drugs and/or drug combinations.
Dr. Marcus Zervos, who heads the hospital’s infectious diseases unit, stated, “Our results do differ from some other studies.
“What we think was important in ours … is that patients were treated early.
“For hydroxychloroquine to have a benefit, it needs to begin before the patients begin to suffer some of the severe immune reactions that patients can have with COVID.”
Mortality rates were 26.4 percent with no treatment, 22.4 percent with azithromycin alone, and 13.5 percent with just hydroxychloroquine.
The overall mortality rate was 18.1 percent.
The researchers concluded, “In this multi-hospital assessment, when controlling for COVID-19 risk factors, treatment with hydroxychloroquine alone and in combination with azithromycin was associated with reduction in COVID-19 associated mortality.”

The Trump administration, needless to say, was extremely happy with the announcement.
The Trump campaign was also quick to respond to the news, stating, “Fortunately, the Trump Administration secured a massive supply of hydroxychloroquine for the national stockpile months ago.
“Yet this is the same drug that the media and the Biden campaign spent weeks trying to discredit and spread fear and doubt around because President Trump dared to mention it as a potential treatment for coronavirus.”
It would go on to say, “The new study from the Henry Ford Health System should be a clear message to the media and the Democrats: stop the bizarre attempts to discredit hydroxychloroquine to satisfy your own anti-Trump agenda. It may be costing lives.”
The media has attacked Trump viciously since the outset on these treatments, but don’t expect any apologies after this new study has been announced.

It is just a shame to know now that far more lives could have possibly been saved had the media not poisoned the entire country against this form of preventive treatment.
As we cross over the 130,000 mark, we can now only wonder what should have been and how much quicker we may have been able to get this country opened had the entire left not decided to attack this treatment simply because Donald Trump thought it showed promise.
