Democrats are great for preaching unity then doing the complete opposite.
Former President Barack Obama did just that when asked to speak on “Show Me Your Walk, HBCU Edition,” an event for students who attended historically black universities.
Us V. Them
Will we ever get rid of racism or divide in this country? The simple answer is no, especially when we have people like Barack Obama pitching a bogus narrative during an event being watched largely by minority students, the next generation who will take on the task of eliminating racial friction in our country.
Obama is a master at word manipulation and giving what sounds like an inspiring speech while at the same time hitting all the trigger words that create anger among the listeners.
While speaking at the event, which was broadcast on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, Obama went overboard on politicizing the narrative.
Obama not only took a shot at Trump, but it is hard to ignore noticing that he used words like “divided,” “tribal,” and “enemy” in a way that appears to me to make these students think Trump has and is acting specifically against their best interests.
Obama, in part, stated, “More than anything, this pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing.”
He added that “a lot of them aren’t even pretending to be in charge.”
He then stated, “This election that’s coming up on every level is so important because what we’re going to be battling is not just a particular individual or a political party.
“What we’re fighting against is these long-term trends in which being selfish, being tribal, being divided, and seeing others as an enemy — that has become a stronger impulse in American life.”
Obama All-In for Biden
If nothing else, it is now very apparent that Barrack Obama is all-in for Joe Biden during this election.
This was not a commencement speech but rather a stump speech meant to attack Donald Trump and get people angry about the response that has been made to this pandemic.
You have to keep in mind that these words were used at a time with a pandemic that is impacting minority communities and our elderly more than any other demographic.
The underlying message by Obama is that this president, who Democrats have regularly accused of being a racist, simply does not care because the pandemic is largely attacking minorities, thinning the herd if you will.
Barack Obama may have gotten into the race late in offering his support for Joe Biden, but he is making up for it with inflammatory stump speeches that, in my opinion, are going to create more racial divide and are likely to make the rioting after the 2016 election look like an afternoon in the park.
Democrats appear to be willing to do anything it takes to win this race, including creating more racial divide than we already have.
