When Trump first took office, one of the first moves made was to reinstall the death penalty and to rid death row of the backlog of cases.
One of those cases was Orlando Hall, who has been convicted of murdering a Texas teenager.
Liberals, of course, went ballistic after the execution was carried out.
In 1994, Hall was allegedly involved in a drug deal gone bad.
When the deal fell through, Hall and several accomplices went to the home of a man they believed to have stolen money from their operation.
When they arrived, they found the man’s sister, Lisa Rene, a 16-year-old high school student, in the home.
Rene refused to let the men inside the home, so Hall and his accomplices broke into the home, kidnapped her at gunpoint, then fled to Arkansas.
According to reports at the time, Rene was raped in the car on the way to the hotel as well as being raped repeatedly once they arrived at the hotel.
Because Hall feared she knew too much, Rene was beaten with a shovel, then buried alive.
At first, it appeared as though the election would be halted, but the Solicitor General appealed to the Supreme Court and it was, after a brief delay, allowed to proceed…
The reaction by the mainstream media was stunning.
While we can understand someone being against the death penalty, just look at the wording of this tweet from a CNN contributor…
Orlando Hall was executed last night. Hall was a Black man convicted by an all-white jury. He is the eighth person executed this year by the Trump administration.

Sympathy for someone that committed such a horrific crime is bad enough, but making it sound as though his conviction was race-based is simply disgusting.
For the record, Hall has never denied his role in the death of Rene.
