Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) recently made comments equating Israel and the United States to terrorist organizations Hamas and the Taliban.
This sparked outrage on both the right and left, with Omar eventually walking back her comments slightly.
Initially, Pelosi and Democrat leadership seemed to rebuke Omar, but after Republicans called for more severe action, Pelosi has not only backed off, but she is now clearly supporting Omar’s right to make such accusations.
Had there not been outrage among her fellow Democrats and possible disciplinary measures on the table, we all know there is no way Omar would have walked back her comments with that bogus clarification she released later in the week.
It would be different if this were the first time, but Omar has made comments like this repeatedly against both the United States and Israel.
Sadly, simply because the GOP wants action, Pelosi is now defending Omar.
She stated, “I think that she clarified her remarks and we accept that, and she has a point that she wanted to make and she has a right to make that point.
“There’s some unease about how it was interpreted. She made her clarification.”
So, that is it… no action will be taken against Omar…

Fox News recently discussed this during a segment as well…
National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) spokesman Mike Berg added, “It is disgraceful that Speaker Pelosi is choosing to stand with anti-Semite Ilhan Omar instead of the countless Americans who found her remarks appalling.
“Speaker Pelosi should immediately call a vote to remove Ilhan Omar from her committee assignments.”
How Omar is being dealt with and the stripping of committee assignments of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shows the stark contrast in how both parties are being perceived today.
The fact that leadership is now supporting Omar proves we need to flush DC and start all over again.
It is time for change, and we must make that happen in 2022.
