Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) again rejected a GOP stimulus offer.
This was far more than the original skinny bill of $800 billion, with the GOP putting up a $1.8 trillion offer, but it still was not enough for Pelosi.
After rejecting the deal, however, members of her own party started to push back out of frustration of Pelosi’s hardball tactics.
Pelosi Gets Hammered
The pushback within the party went up and down the chain, even accusing Pelosi of playing political games rather than helping out Americans…
Nancy Pelosi take this deal! Put politics aside people are hurting. https://t.co/bCpFtr2kHh

That sentiment was also echoed by Ro Khanna, a Democrat House candidate up for re-election…
People in need can’t wait until February. 1.8 trillion is significant & more than twice Obama stimulus. It will allow Biden to start with infrastructure. Obama won in 08 by doing the right thing on TARP instead of what was expedient. Make a deal & put the ball in McConnell court. https://t.co/qAEtd049sW

In reality, Pelosi could do this deal now and if she is that confident Biden will win, she can put her dream programs in later.
Waiting until inauguration day will likely lead to thousands of more businesses closing and tens of thousands of bankruptcies simply because she wants to play political games.
With the media finally catching on to this, it will not play well for Democrats on election day.
