Today’s media, for use of a better word, is pathetic.
They have become so focused on Donald Trump and removing him from office that they just completely ignore stories that would be front-page news under any other president.
To that point, after a weekend of brutal violence in Democrat-run cities, Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany obliterated the media for not even discussing the topic on Monday.
Since President Trump cannot leave sleeping dogs lie, he blasted NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace this weekend about the “noose hoax” and the banning of the Confederate flag.
Anyone that reads my articles regularly already knows how I feel about this, but this is not something that really benefits Trump to chime in on right now.
However, instead of letting his surrogates handle issues such as this, he went after Bubba and the media then went after Trump, again pushing the “Trump is racist” narrative.
Meanwhile, across this country, brutal murders were taking place and major cities had blood flowing through the streets over the holiday weekend.
At the end of Monday’s briefing, after being asked no questions about that and numerous questions about the Confederate flag comments by Trump, McEnany appeared to have reached her breaking point.
She stated, “I’d end with this, I was asked probably 12 questions about the Confederate flag, this president is focused on action and I’m a little dismayed that I didn’t receive one question on the deaths that we got in this country this weekend.
“I didn’t receive one question about New York City shootings doubling for the third-straight week… not one question.
“I didn’t receive one question about five children who were killed.
“I’ll leave you with this remark by a dad. It broke my heart, a dad of an 8-year-old last in Atlanta this weekend, ‘They say Black lives matter. You killed a child, she didn’t do nothing to nobody.’
McEnany then said, “We need to be focused on securing our streets, making sure no lives are lost, because all black lives matter, that of [retired St. Louis police captain] David Dorn and that of this 8-year-old girl. Thank you.”
I was asked probably 12 qs about the confederate flag…I didn’t receive one on the deaths that we got in this country this weekend. I didn’t receive one question about NYC shootings doubling for the 3rd straight week, and for the last 7 days shootings skyrocket by 142%

They Just Don’t Care
To Kayleigh’s point, black lives matter only seems to be important when a life is lost at the hands of a police officer, even though black-on-black crime accounts for several times more deaths every year, significantly more.
We never hear about that and we probably never will, because the talking heads simply don’t want to address it.
Proving my point was CNN’s Don Lemon who told Terry Crews during a recent interview THOSE black lives are not part of this BLM movement…
Don Lemon tells Terry Crews that the Black Lives Matter movement is only about police brutality and not about crime in minority communities.
“If you want to start that issue, why don’t you start it.”

I simply don’t understand why those black lives are less important than the ones lost at the hands of police officers.
If you ask me to choose whose death I should be more upset about and put Rayshard Brooks and that 7-year-old little girl on the table, it is pretty much a no-brainer.
BLM is a sham and nothing more. If you want to address the issue of black lives being needlessly lost, then let’s discuss it, but let’s talk about ALL black lives, not just the ones that suit your narrative.
