One of the more outspoken members of the House on the Republican side of the aisle has tested positive for COVID-19.
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) announced on Wednesday that he had tested positive.
The announcement came shortly before Gohmert was to accompany Trump on Air Force One for his visit to Texas.
Can’t Go, Mr. President
President Trump was slated to make a quick visit to Texas on Wednesday, so Rep. Gohmert was going to hitch a first-class ride along Air Force One.
Before you can get on that plane, however, you must be tested.
When Gohmert was given the first test, which is a quick version of the test, he had tested positive.
As such, he was pulled from the flight.
Since the quick test is not as reliable as the swab test, Gohmert was also given that and again tested positive.
He commented on his test results as well as some things that were said during the House Judiciary hearing on Wednesday via Twitter…

And the Dems Run Wild
The attacks against Gohmert came fast and furious once the test results were in.
Reporters routed through their phones to find any footage they could of Gohmert without a mask on and they blasted them all over social media…
ACTUALLY… here is a video of AG Barr and Gohmert.
While Barr arrived with a mask, it was off when he walked into the hearing room, so both men were not wearing masks at this time. pic.twitter.com/xm6wuq6QvW

As far as Gohmert’s health is concerned, right now, he is asymptomatic, but this is generally the case early on.
Over the next week or so, he will more than likely be quarantined and re-tested to see if he has the antibodies, unless he suddenly starts to show symptoms, at which point we would assume he would be hospitalized.
The normal course for the virus seems to be about three to four weeks, so we will keep an eye out for updates on his health and post them as they become available.
