REPORT: 5 Dead, 50 Shot Over Weekend in Chicago

It’s Monday morning, which means another horrific report coming out of Chicago for weekend violence.

Normally, during the winter months, the violence starts to trend backward, but it seems to be holding rather steady in Chicago this year.

By Sunday night, a total of at least 50 shootings were reported with five fatalities.

The Bloodbath Continues

While every news outlet in the country covered the Wisconsin mall shooting, nobody seems very interested in what is going on in Chicago, or any of the other cities in this country where violence rules the day.

So far this year, Chicago has more than 670 murders and more than 3,600 shootings.

This is a 53 percent increase in shootings from 2019, taking the city back to numbers it saw during the very violent stretch in the mid-1990s.

By the way, Lightfoot is still blaming all the violence on Donald Trump and Republicans.

Portland also continues to rage out of control with rioting dating back to the George Floyd shooting.

However, all the media seems to be concerned with is Trump supporters that don’t want to be locked down for Thanksgiving.

GOP CHAIR TWEETS

In the same breath that CNN says we need unity, they equate half the country with the KKK.

They question the commitment to democracy of an Army veteran who lost his legs fighting in Afghanistan.

Smears like this only drive us further apart.

CNN's @DonLemon: If you voted for Trump, you're with the Klan & the Capitol Hill rioters

Those who partook in the assault on our Capitol & those who continue to threaten violence should be found, held accountable & prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Let me be clear: Anyone who has malicious intent is not welcome in Washington or in any state capitol.
