A stunning report started to blow up yesterday regarding the actions of Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Milley.
The report stated that Milley was making backchannel calls to China regarding possible military action by Trump.
By most accounts, the calls amount to treason.
While some on the left applauded the actions of General Milley, there were far more that were upset over the revelation.
Even some of the biggest talking heads on TV had the common sense to realize that a top general working backroom deals with our enemies is not in the best interests of our country.
If Milley truly thought Trump was a danger, there were other routes to pursue before putting China on alert that an attack could be headed its way.
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) was among those calling for immediate action against Milley.
In part, he stated, “It should be investigated immediately, today, he should be questioned under oath, if not with a polygraph test, on whether it happened.
“If it happened, he should be immediately relieved of his duties and court-martialed. You have to find out if it’s true.
“This is innuendo and rumor and propaganda perhaps. But, if it is true, he absolutely immediately needs to be removed.”
According to Article 94 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), acting “with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of lawful civil authority” is an act of sedition.
The fact that Milley was doing an end-around on Trump, interjecting himself into a chain of command with top congressional leaders, is absolutely grounds for a court-martial.
Let’s not forget, it has already been confirmed that Milley was holding meetings with House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) on this front, which could also be perceived as an attempted coup.
Milley could also be charged with violating Article 103B of the USMJ, which relates to providing enemies with intelligence without authority.
If the reports of these calls are true, there is simply no way Milley can justify his actions, and, at the very least, he should be relieved of duty and be facing a court-martial.
