Texas is getting all the bad press lately.
On Monday, reports blew up across the country over ANTIFA showing up for a drag queen event at a small town in Texas called Roanoke.
Today, reports are breaking that the country’s first monkeypox-associated death has also occurred in Texas.
From what we know, monkeypox has been mostly limited to the gay and bisexual community.
The individual that passed was in Harris County and was “severely immunocompromised.”
DSHS Commissioner Dr. John Hellerstedt stated, “Monkeypox is a serious disease, particularly for those with weakened immune systems.
“We continue to urge people to seek treatment if they have been exposed to monkeypox or have symptoms consistent with the disease.”
So far, there have been more than 18,100 cases reported in the United States, with more than 48,000 worldwide.
A health emergency was declared earlier this month regarding monkeypox by Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra.
At the time, he stated, “In light of evolving circumstances on the ground, I am declaring a public health emergency on #monkeypox.
“We are prepared to take our response to the next level in addressing this virus and we urge every American to take monkeypox seriously.”
I cannot help but wonder if somehow Biden will use this the same way Dems used COVID in 2020.
