REPORT: Trump Intends to Pardon General Michael Flynn

While President Trump’s legal battle continues to try to flip this election result, he does seem to be making transition plans in case he loses his battle.

Among those plans is making sure that General Michael Flynn is taken care of for the charges he faced as a result of the Mueller probe.

Numerous outlets are now reporting that Trump intends to pardon Michael Flynn before he leaves office.

Even though Flynn plead guilty to the charges, there is more than enough doubt surrounding the case to warrant a pardon by Trump.

Flynn fell victim to some rather questionable tactics specifically meant to trip him up and nail him for lying to investigators.

It was also reported that threats were made to go after Flynn’s son with criminal charges if he did not plead guilty.

FBI documents that were recently revealed also seem to point to a concentrated effort to trip up Flynn solely to make Trump look bad rather than catching someone in criminal activity.

One document read,  “What is our goal? Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?”

Deserving of a Pardon

I am not and have never been a fan of presidential pardons, but this is one that I could live with.

In April, Trump had tweeted, “What happened to General Michael Flynn, a war hero, should never be allowed to happen to a citizen of the United States again!”

And, he is right… because from the documents we have seen, Flynn did nothing wrong and seemed to do nothing more than what every incoming administration has done in the past.

Yet, somehow, it was criminalized just because Trump is despised by the entire left and members of the Republican party.

I can guarantee you Joe Biden’s appointments are already making phone calls similar to what Flynn made in 2016 during the transition.

Democrats, of course, are already lining up to speak out against the pardon, but that is to be expected.

They, of course, have no ground to stand on when you look at the list of pardons handed out by Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as they walked out the door.

Glass houses people… glass houses.

“Yeager will no doubt be most remembered for breaking the sound barrier. …[H]e represents all that is quintessentially American: breaking down barriers, and in their place building gateways to opportunity, innovation and new frontiers.” - @Mike_Pence

I can do weather and speak up for my family at the same time.

Honored to be heading to West Virginia today to celebrate the life of a truly Great American, General Chuck Yeager.
