We are officially on the clock regarding the confirmation vote of Amy Coney Barrett.
Senator McConnell (R-KY) has promised to put ACB on the floor for a formal vote on Monday, and that means we need every able body to make sure she gets confirmed.
One senator everyone was worried about, Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), has confirmed she has now tested negative and will be at work on Monday morning.
Earlier this week, Loeffler had a scare when several of her staffers had tested positive.
With Republicans expected to be right on the number for “yes” votes, Loeffler is not someone they could afford to lose.
After testing negative, Loeffler’s spokesperson stated that the Georgia Senator is “is more energized than ever to vote to confirm Amy Coney Barrett as the next Supreme Court Justice on Monday before returning home and traveling the state to meet with hardworking Georgians.”
As long as everyone can stay healthy over the weekend and show up on Monday, it now seems as though Barrett’s confirmation will go through.
