This was supposed to be the year everyone got to resume a normal life.
Kids were going back to school, people were returning to work, and then…
Parents are now finding out that after almost two years of not being in the classroom, live learning is too much for teachers who are now calling out due to fatigue.
Too Much Work
“Staff fatigue” is being reported from schools all around the country.
In addition to kids missing school, parents are now missing work because they have nobody to care for their children on such short notice.
Erika Sanzi, director of outreach for Parents Defending Education, stated, “So have parents, many of whom don’t get paid if they don’t show up to work and now have to scramble to find last-minute arrangements because schools have decided they no longer need to open five days a week.
“If the education establishment no longer considers public schools an essential service, they should say that and give parents their tax dollars to spend on a school that actually opens its doors Monday through Friday.”
Joe Biden’s America… where a two-year vacation is not quite enough to get ready to teach our nation’s children.
