The Louisiana National Guard Dispatched to Prevent Election Hacking

Louisiana recently activated its National Guard, just for a different reason than we usually see.

According to reports, the Guard was dispatched to prevent cyberattacks from threatening the election.

Washington state is believed to have recently undergone similar attacks.

Hackers were reportedly working to infect government offices with malware that would trigger other programs to seize up computers.

The investigation is still in its early stages, so it is unclear if the ransomware was meant solely to disrupt the election or if the hackers were just trying to get a quick payday.

You can read more about this report in the New York Post.
