When reports surfaced that a van had crashed through a Wisconsin parade route, you just knew Democrats were hoping the driver would be a radical right-wing extremist.
One Democrat even seemed happy the event had even happened.
Illinois Democrat Social Media Director Mary Lemanski called the attack “karma,” which set off a blistering reaction as well as costing her employment.
It really is a sad moment when Democrats are so desperate to score political points that mocking a national tragedy is used as a punchline.
Sadly, that is exactly what Lemanski did.
After the news broke, Lemanski posted that the driver of the van “probably felt threatened” like Rittenhouse.
She added, “It was probably just self-defense,” further stating that maybe the driver “came to help people.”
She concluded, “You reap what you sow.
“I just believe in Karma and this came around quick on the citizens of Wisconsin.”
After outrage ensued, Lemanski apologized and removed the posts, stating that it was “not in good taste.”
The Democrat Party in Illinois also quickly announced it had “severed all ties” with Lemanski “once we became aware of her callous and reprehensible posts.
“She does not speak for us and we unequivocally reject her statements.”
Party chair Ken Mejia-Beal stated, “She does not speak for us and we unequivocally reject her statements.”
This is not a good look for the Democrat Party, to say the least.
Whatever apologies or actions happen are irrelevant to the fact this is a permeating attitude within the Democrat Party right now.
While Lemanski was stupid enough to put it out there, I guarantee you there were members of Congress that were thinking the same exact thing.
