Trump Holding Firm on Banning TikTok in the United States

On Friday, President Trump dropped a bombshell on reporters.

After months of speculation, Trump stated that he is now considering banning the Chinese-owned app TikTok.

The app is currently owned and operated by ByteDance.

TikTok has been banned for use by our military and Department of Defense employees already amid concerns of national security.

Trump, however, is now ready to take it a step further and outright ban the application from being used in the United States…

ByteDance has since ignited previous rumors of a possible turning over of the controls of the app to Microsoft but that seemed to matter little to Trump.
