Late Friday night, tragedy struck our military community.
Two pilots aboard a Navy plane were killed when their plane went down in an Alabama neighborhood.
The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. local time.
The aircraft that went down is a T-6B Texan II plane.
This is a single-propeller plane that is used in training exercises.
The two men aboard the plane were killed, but there were no civilian casualties reported…
We are not aware of any civilian casualties this time. The incident is currently under investigation. The Navy is cooperating fully with local authorities.

There was video footage of the aftermath that was taken by a local resident who was in the area at the time of the crash…
Needless to say, our thoughts are with the families of these downed servicemen.
The Naval Air Training Command also expressed its condolences via Twitter…

The crash is now being investigated by the Department of Defense and Navy officials.
