Someone is poking the bear again.
A compound at the al-Tanf base in south-central Syria was hit by a drone strike on Monday.
The base houses allied forces but it is run by the United States.
Reports stated that several drones armed with explosives tried to penetrate the base’s defenses.
One of the drones was shot down before it hit its target.
A second drone, however, did detonate.
The good news is that nobody was injured and no real damage occurred at the base.
This is the same base that was attacked in October, although that attack was a bit more intense with indirect fire also coming in.
There were no serious injuries reported in the October attack.
US troops at the base patrol in conjunction with coalition forces seeking out Islamic State militants.
