Remember the outrage when pictures first surfaced of immigrant children in caged holding facilities.
Even though the “cages” were built during the Obama administration, Trump took the blame for it.
After national outrage was focused on Trump, the facility was eventually closed, but reports are now breaking that those “cages” are back open and kids are being held there again.
The Cages are Back But…
Joe Biden’s new immigration policies and promise of open borders has resulted in a mass influx of traffic at our border.
Because of the increased traffic, the aforementioned facilities have been reopened.
The narrative, however, has dramatically changed.
The Washington Post recently reported on this, stating, “Dozens of migrant teens boarded vans Monday for the trip down a dusty road to a former man camp for oil field workers here, the first migrant child facility opened under the Biden administration.
“The emergency facility — a vestige of the Trump administration that was open for only a month in summer 2019 — is being reactivated to hold up to 700 children ages 13 to 17.”
This is the tweet that the Washington Post put on regarding the reopening of the facility…

Now compare that to headlines that were published when Trump was in office.
One headline read, “The American tradition of caging children,” and “The real reason we’re locking children in cages.”
Another stated, “Viewing US border cells derided as ‘cages,’ Central American officials pledge more immigration cooperation.”
In September of last year, the editorial board of WaPo stated, “The tableaux of caged migrant children, torn from their parents’ arms, should be among the most enduring images produced by the president’s policies.”
Not exactly equal coverage, proving yet again that the mainstream media continues to move toward state-run media rather than a press that simply reports factual news.
