When you put out a government program, you are supposed to have the numbers ready to justify to the media and the American people.
If we are to believe White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Biden just signed a massive giveaway order without running the numbers.
It is either that or they know the numbers and they are terrified to release them.
Luckily for the American people, we do have the numbers.
Just Tell Us
This was a gimmick for Biden to buy votes and favor with his donors, nothing more.
Reach into your desk, write a check for $2,000, and send it to the Treasury, because that is your share of how this plan will be paid for.
Yet, when a reporter asked Jean-Pierre about the costs, she stated, “We just don’t have a number to share at this time.
It is a process that we just need to take a look before we can answer that question.
“We just don’t want to get ahead of ourselves.”
Uhm, that is not getting ahead of yourself; that is called due diligence and it is what responsible people do before they start writing $300 billion+ checks.
Oh, by the way, the $300 billion was when it was ONLY $10,000.
Biden’s little toss-in of $20,000 to Pell Grant recipients brings the total to somewhere between $500 billion and $600 billion.
I hate going back to the Trump reference, but can you imagine Kayleigh McEnany on the dais giving that answer and the media not losing its mind?
Why is this administration being given such a long leash on such an idiotic spending measure when we are almost $31 trillion in debt?
