White House Responds to GOP Hunter Biden Probe

The GOP no sooner got the final vote count in when investigations were announced into the Biden family.

If you have been monitoring social media, you know liberals are already having a meltdown over this.

The White House is now claiming the investigation is nothing but pushing a bunch of debunked narratives, only it’s not.

I was having a conversation with a friend about this very issue last night.

He was very excited about the announcement of all the House investigations that would be taking place.

While I am curious about the results, this is all a dog and pony show, for all intents and purposes.

Here are the challenges.

First, the reports are going to immediately get discredited as political attacks, which the White House has already started to do, as well as some media members.

One member of the media even stated that Dems never investigated the Trump family, even though there were numerous investigations of this nature.

The White House has also made its pitch, with Ian Sams, a spokesman for the White House Counsel’s office stating, “Instead of working with President Biden to address issues important to the American people, like lower costs, congressional Republicans’ top priority is to go after President Biden with politically motivated attacks chock full of long-debunked conspiracy theories.”

Second, Congress has no power to prosecute, as in zero.

Any investigation that takes place will have to be referred to the DOJ for prosecution.

Last time I checked, Merrick Garland is running the DOJ and if you think he will bring a case against Biden, well, you have not been doing your homework.

At best, House Republicans can try to impeach Biden if they find he is a national security risk for his connections to Hunter Biden’s business dealings, but that is where it will die.

Without a supermajority in the Senate, a House impeachment is just for show, as it was when Trump was in office.

Now, I am not saying these investigations should not take place.

What I am saying, however, is that Congress better walk and chew gum at the same time or they will lose it back to Dems in 2024.

They need to pass aggressive legislation to address the problems we are facing right now while they go about these investigations to show they are working for the American people.

Flood Schumer with legislation and let it die in the Senate, which is what is going to happen.

This is Schumer’s problem, though.

We just need to show we are working with solutions and if the Dems choose to shoot them all down, well, so be it.
