Wife of Tim Lincecum Dead at 38

San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum has not pitched since 2016.

Even so, he has not “formally” retired.

Some insight was offered as to why he suddenly stepped away from the game after the 2015 season.

News broke today that his wife, Cristin Coleman, passed away earlier this year.

She was only 38 years old.

Mystery Death

Lincecum has pretty much left the public eye since he left baseball.

He never formally announced her death, but this week, the San Francisco Giants broke the news.

The team tweeted, “The Giants were extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Tim Lincecum’s wife, Cristin Coleman.

“Our deepest condolences go out to Tim, Cristin’s family and all those whose lives she touched as a friend and teacher.

“She was beloved by the Giants family and her caring and genuine spirit touched those of us who were fortunate enough to know her during her and Timmy’s years with us.”

According to the report, she died from cancer, so it is a safe assumption that this battle has been going on for some time.

Lincecum left the game as an absolute stud, and he is still only 38, but as stated above, he has dropped off the face of the earth more or less, so if I were a Giants fan, I would not expect him back anytime soon.
